1. Eastern Loggerhead Shrike Painting by Carson Visser
14 year old Carson Visser is an up-and-coming wildlife artist. In 2011, Carson won the Get to Know Your Wild Neighbours contest sponsored by Robert Bateman, and his work has appeared on the Wildlife Habitat Conservation stamp and calendar cover. Carson wanted to help the Conservation Gala and painted and donated this original painting of the Eastern Loggerhead Shrike.

8. 22x28” Original acrylic on canvas by Shana Danilyants
Shana Danilyants’ inspiration comes from deep inside. As a child Shana was always drawing and painting. Rather than choose her subjects, she allows them to choose er. Painting objects and scenes that evoke an emotion in her, she draws upon her memories and experiences to provide her with subjects. Shana studied art at the enkoff Art College and Ostrosky State University of Fine Art, and moved to Canada with her family in 1999, where they continue to reside today. Shana has exhibited her works throughout the world including New York, Toronto, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Krakow and Moscow.

This former Halton resident created many paintings around his original studio near Mount Nemo. For this year’s Conservation Gala, Robert has donated a sketchbook with a hand-drawn ketch of a Red-tailed Hawk -- just like Scarlet.
